True Geordie Hates Jack Butland

Following Newcastle’s latest Premier League game, a 0-0 home draw with Stoke, The True Geordie took to YouTube to rant about one player in particular – Jack Butland.

The Stoke goalkeeper was instrumental in keeping a clean sheet for the away team and therefore depriving Newcastle of their second victory at St James’ Park in a row.

Newcastle tried everything to get ahead and would have been worthy winners if it wasn’t for an incredible performance by Butland.

Still, a draw is certainly better than a defeat and Newcastle fans can take some positives out of the game for sure.

Stoke have had an impressive season so far and many pundits tipped them to win at St James’ Park – so if you had offered the Toon fans a guaranteed point before the game started, we are sure many would have taken it.

But Newcastle were the strongest team and the team that looked most likely to score. Despite losing last weekend to Sunderland, it seems that Newcastle are finally finding their feet and are becoming quite a force going forward.

The fact that they managed to keep a clean sheet themselves (only the 2nd one this season) is great news, although it looked like Rob Elliot picked up an injury, which is definitely something they could do without at the moment.

Anyway, enjoy the rant below – we are sure he is not the only Geordie who was frustrated by Jack Butland yesterday…
