Shearer Deals with Sunderland Twitter Troll After Derby Day Defeat

Their team might have success when it comes to beating Newcastle United in the league, but Sunderland fans continue to lose when it comes to trolling Alan Shearer.

There’s no doubt that Big Al’s Twitter account would have been going crazy yesterday with mentions from gloating Sunderland fans, thrilled (and surprised) that their team managed to get one over Newcastle for the 6th game in a row.

The all-time Premier League top scorer seems to get a lot of Tweets from jealous Sunderland fans on normal days, so we imagine he gets plenty more whenever The Black Cats play against his former club.

You may remember other instances of failed trolling attempts by Sunderland fans like this one and also times when Shearer was the instigator.

And then there was the time a Sunderland fan tried to troll Shearer about his niece, but failed miserably.

Yep, Newcastle United might be useless at beating Sunderland but Shearer remains on top whenever their fans try and have a go.

Yesterday was no different. Following another victory for Sunderland, one fan decided to Tweet this to Shearer…

To which Shearer replied…

Another defeat for Newcastle is hard to bear, but at least Alan Shearer is still beating the Mackems on a regular basis.
