He’s Back! Mackem responds to criticism of his viral video

These days it’s a lot easier to become ‘famous’, or at least well known in certain circles via social media. More often than not though, these people get attention for embarrassing themselves rather than having any discernible skill or talent.

That’s certainly been the case for ‘Westy’, the Sunderland fan who attracted the attention of the Sun and various other media outlets with his ‘song’ about his club’s appointment of Sam Allardyce.

We wrote about his initial video in this article yesterday and since then his video has gone on to gain thousands more views, with our own article being shared over 1,800 times.

Anyway, ‘Westy’ has responded to the criticism of his video, primarily from the Sun, in the form of another video – and yes there is more cringe-worthy singing.

More comments have flooded in regarding his initial video, which has reached well beyond the shores of Britain.

However, when asked if they had seen the Mackem’s silly video, residents of Milan said,

What’s a Mackem?

His latest, and hopefully last, video was once again posted on the Mackems v Geordies Facebook page.

It’s worth joining to see the banter between the two sets of fans, which is sure to increase on the run up to the upcoming derby.

Check out the video below (if you dare) and don’t forget to take part in our poll underneath….
