HDR Time Lapse of Newcastle

We are always happy when we come across a new video of Newcastle – and even more so when we discover a really unique one.

There is plenty of great footage of the city on the internet, including time lapses, drone videos and videos from several decades ago – but this latest video we found is different from the rest.

The video below is a time lapse of Newcastle and Gateshead, but unlike Newcastle in Motion (one of the best videos we have seen of Newcastle – if you haven’t seen it you need to!) this latest discovery is filmed in HDR.

For those who don’t know what HDR (High-Dynamic-Range) is, it refers to techniques used in photography and videography to reproduce a greater dynamic range of luminosity than is possible with standard digital or photographic techniques.

The footage below was taken using a Nikon D800 camera.

We hope you enjoy it!
